He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40:11

The obsession starts early...
On the homefront...

A fairy princess birthday party for our baby girl, these pictures of our Miss Mae make me smile from the inside out. Oh, I just love all that comes with little girls, especially my little girl. Michael really captured her in these. It amazes me that she always looks so graceful even when she is bubbling over with excitement. I love it when she bubbles over!
And, of course, as a friend said to me about a year ago, "Whitt really knows how to party!" Yes, he does even if it is with twenty-five girls and it means wearing blue fairy wings! Really, it is genius. He is already getting in good with the ladies a year older than him.
Just to let you know my stud husband walked around with blue fairy wings over his suit for an hour and a half because his baby girl requested that he wear them. Now, that is a real man!
Back to the subject of Whitt, he had his first choir performance. He ANNOUNCED (all caps on announced because of the boisterous voice that came with it) that his favorite part was that he was able to see EVERYBODY from up there!!!! I am fairly certain that his response doesn't surprise any of you who know our little man. Between his energy and love of the spotlight and God-willing, we could quite possibly have a very charismatic preacher/ missionary on our hands.
Then , there is poor little B. I am trying to get my act together, and we have started Time Out. This is only after I picked up Whitt from a friend's house, and Whitt had asked his friend's mother if their baby brother hit like ours does : )

All dogs do go to Heaven
- w: "I miss Ernie."
- j: "I do to Buddy."
- w: "Ernie isn't sinning anymore because he is in Heaven. He is perfect now and must be so happy."
- j: shock and silence
yes, I know we are talking about a dog and dogs don't sin, but let's give the little guy some props for exploring and taking to heart such a beautiful aspect of our Hope.
I have had several people say to me, "Ernie was the greatest dog ever!" And, you know what I have to agree. It was all his little imperfections that blended together in just the right way to create absolute canine perfection with a wildly furry face, the longest tongue imaginable, and the worst breath this side of Heaven. This family all still loves him dearly. Miss you, E!
"It seems to me possible that certain animals may have immortality, not in themselves, but in the immortality of their masters."~C.S. Lewis
"God will prepare everything for our perfect happiness in Heaven, and if it takes my little dog being there, I believe it will be there." ~Billy Graham

Breaking my Bad Habits...
I have confessed in a prior post that I am not really a morning person and really anyone who reads our little blog probably already knows that about me.
- So, first I was given the ultimate early bird, Miss Mae. I still think she wakes up at 5:30 every morning, then patiently waits until it is 6:30 when she has the green light to come downstairs.
- Then came the energy with Mr. Whitt. We are talking bouncing off the walls energy that begins the moment his feet hit the floor. He needs no "rev" up time.
- And, now we have the last missing link-the noise!
and, then at 7:00.
God sent the three cutest wake-up calls possible to help break my habit, and I will say if our home continues to be filled with moments like this, I might just become a morning person after all.
PS-B threw up all over the new car about forty-five minutes later in carpool. It absolutely amazes me how kids go from fine to sick in 0.3 seconds.
